Case Study: Pelfreybilt

Image
In 2012 Pelfreybilt off road was started by Tyler and Satin Pelfrey and took the Tacoma Community by Storm.  Their armor was different from the rest of the pack due to its sleek design and fitting into the vehicles overall look.  over the next 6 years they grew from a small shop into being the forerunner of the Tacoma aftermarket for off road goods.  The rise of pelfreybilt came to a screaming halt in September of 2018.  They went from making money to being bankrupt seemingly overnight. It wasn't overnight it really was a gradual issue that came to light thanks to the sleuths over at Tacoma World.  They found out the amount owed to customers was around $500,000 in undelivered armor.  Pelfreybilt  also did not help their case by blaming their customers who were mad that they were out thousands of dollars.  I would link the social media posts, Pelfreybilt deleted all their social media so I'm posting what I have seen and heard. If I had been the marketing manager I wou

Listening to Brands: Pelfreybilt

The Brand I chose was Pelfreybilt Off road.  They used to be a prominent fabricator in the Toyota Tacoma, but recently filed for Bankruptcy.  6 years ago they were one of the premier Toyota Tacoma armor builders and had a stellar reputation.  This year they filed for bankruptcy and owed their customers $500,000 worth of armor that has yet to be delivered.  People on Tacoma World and all spheres of social media used to say nothing but good things about Pelfreybilt.  I was going to buy one of their bumpers when I was done with school for my Tacoma.  Well when I found out everything happened they immediately fell off my list.  the reason is because they blamed their customers for asking about why they stopped fulfilling orders and being silent about it.  The worst part is they kept they site up and running allowing people to still order a product even after they had filed for bankruptcy.   People used to say they were the best armor in the Tacoma community that you could buy.  When ev

Link to Article: https://www.forbes.com/sites/marklrockefeller/2018/04/05/making-30-million-on-coffee-and-passion/#cdaef386aef5 I was interested in this article because I have bought black rifle coffee, but I didn't realize how passionate they were about their business.  Plus their videos on youtube are hilarious.  Black Rifle Coffee is a unique coffee company in the fact that they are veteran owned and passionate about their craft.  I can personally attest to the quality of their coffee and customer service.  To advertise their business they come up with some outrageous skits that you either find funny or deeply offensive.  What really sets Black Rifle Coffee apart from other coffee places is that they are veteran owned and operated.  Evan Hafer the CEO said he invaded Iraq in 2003 with boutique coffee.  The article is about the company you really need to see this ad to understand them:https://youtu.be/IkL4lVMJqDk.  The main points of this article were the fact it is a veteran

All About Me!

It was a warm summer day when I decided to enroll and said what the hey why not!  No I am not Doctor Seuss, but thanks to his writing and easy to read style I am able to read well.  I really enrolled in this class because I needed it in order to get my degree.  Oh and I am a business major who kinda has yet to figure the whole business lingo.   I am interested in learning about all the ins and outs of marketing.  Outside of School I love to be outdoors and hanging with my friends and girlfriend who actually took your class.

This is my blog!
